We are situated in Hamilton Accademical Football Stadium. The nursery has a large car park with designated nursery drop off spaces and parking. Our location allows for excellent transport links by road and rail. The nursery is only a few minutes walk away from Hamilton West train station which is ideal for parents who commute to work.
The learning environment is light, spacious and child centred. We have four playrooms and a soft surfaced outdoor play area. The playrooms are carefully planned and extensively resourced to further children’s learning and development.
Nursery Times is an established and trusted centre for early education with a staff team that are passionate about the early years and committed to providing a safe, nurturing learning environment for children to flourish.
We have earned an outstanding reputation in the area for the provision of individualised and high quality care and support for children. Many of our prospective parents who visit have been recommended the nursery from friends, family and colleagues.
We have forged excellent links with the local community. Our children enjoy visiting the local library and parks. We have made links with community agencies, local shops and businesses. The curriculum we offer children is enriched by these links. Our children have learned about the roles of the fire service, police, doctors and the dentist. They have gained an understanding of road safety and have knowledge of the local area and facilities.
We were inspected by the Care Inspectorate in November 2012 where we were praised for the quality of care and support we give our children. They stated “The staff have a good rapport with the children. Their interaction with the children was skilled. They were professional, confident and interacted well with the children. The staff work well together.” They said some of our strengths were “A variety of activities, resources and equipment were available for the children. Children knew the daily routine. The routine was varied and included physical and active play. Children were involved in the service and made their own decisions.” They found the children to be “happy, busy, engaged, talkative and content” in our nursery.
